Pale Face Clown is a heavily-blotched Harlequin-type selection of Phalaenopsis Pale Face, a hybrid registered in 1970 by Thornton's Orchids. Its blooms are a pale, creamy-white base heavily blotched in irregular patches of deep magenta, maroon, and purple — no two flowers exactly alike. From real flowers to abstract art, inspired by nature. We draw on the colors, markings and textures of real flowers, transforming their natural details into abstract patterns designed to be worn.

High-waisted, four-way stretch, cut for real movement, with a hidden waistband pocket for a key or card.

Match the Catch: pair these leggings with the matching Long Sleeve Crop Top and get 20% off the second piece, applied automatically in your cart.

Behind The Catch

Every print in our collection starts as a real, photographed orchid — not an illustration. For thousands of years, across cultures that never met, people looked at this same flower and saw something worth remembering.

This piece: Pale creamy-white heavily blotched in magenta, maroon, and purple — nature's own Harlequin design, unrepeatable bloom to bloom. This piece carries that exact color DNA, not an artist's guess at it.
Ancient Greece

The word "orchid" comes from the Greek orchis. Legend tells of a youth named Orchis who was transformed into the flower after his death — giving it a lasting meaning of transformation and rebirth. It was also seen as a symbol of virility and fertility.

Ancient Egypt

Egyptians linked the orchid to Isis, goddess of fertility, and prized it as a symbol of luxury, elegance, and nurturing power.

Aztec Mexico

The Aztecs saw the orchid as a sign of strength and power, using it in religious ceremony and in medicine.

Ancient Rome

Around 90 orchid species were carved into the Ara Pacis, the altar to peace built by Emperor Augustus in 9 BCE — a lasting symbol of celebration, rebirth, and prosperity.

Imperial China

Confucius called the orchid the flower of the virtuous man — blooming quietly in remote forests, fragrant whether or not anyone was there to notice. It became one of the "Four Gentlemen" of Chinese art, standing for humility, integrity, and quiet strength of character.

Victorian England

Orchids were so rare and difficult to grow that owning one signaled wealth and refined taste — collectors' obsession with them was nicknamed "Orchidelirium." In the Victorian language of flowers, giving an orchid was a quiet declaration of love and admiration.

Japan

In Japanese culture and in ikebana, the orchid stands for sophistication, nobility, and perfection — a flower associated with aristocracy and refinement.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes your prints different?

Every print starts as a real, photographed flower or animal pattern, shaped into abstract art inspired by nature, not an illustration invented from scratch. We photograph the actual specimen and carry that pattern onto fabric, so what you're wearing began as something real.

What are your pieces made of?

Our leggings and long-sleeve crop tops are made from four-way stretch polyester-elastane blends (exact composition is listed on each product page), designed for both activewear and everyday wear.

How do I find my size?

Each product page includes a size guide with measurements. Please check it before ordering. Wrong size anyway? See our Fit Promise: keep it as a gift and get 50% off the same design in the right size.

Do your leggings run true to size?

Our four-way stretch fabric is designed to move with you, but sizing can vary slightly between styles. Always check the specific size chart on the product page before ordering.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes, free on every product. EU orders ship from within the EU with no customs fees. Outside the EU, local import duties may apply.

How long does production and shipping take?

Usually 6–11 business days within the EU, including production. Other regions take longer. See our Shipping Policy.

How can I track my order?

Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with a tracking number and link. You can also reach out to us directly with your order number for an update.

Can I return or exchange an item?

Yes. EU customers can withdraw within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason. Email us with your order number and send the item back unworn. You pay the return shipping and we refund the full price.

What is the Fit Promise?

Wrong size? You don't have to send it back. Keep it as a gift and get 50% off the same design in the size that fits you. Email us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of you wearing the piece. We use the photo only to help with sizing and delete it afterwards. One Fit Promise per customer; it does not affect your 14-day right of withdrawal.

What if my item arrives damaged, defective, or misprinted?

Contact us within 30 days of delivery at thecatchofnature@gmail.com with a clear photo of the issue. There's no need to send the item back — once approved, we'll arrange a free reshipment or a full refund, processed within 10 days.

What if my package is lost in transit?

Please report it within 30 days of the estimated delivery date so we can investigate.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, all our products come with a 2-year EU warranty covering manufacturing defects, in line with EU consumer protection standards.

How do I wash my leggings/crop top?

Machine wash cold with like colors, and avoid high heat when drying to protect the print and fabric elasticity. Avoid contact with rough surfaces, which can pull fibers and damage the fabric over time.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major payment methods available at checkout, processed securely through Shopify.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

Since each item is made to order, please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order. We can only make changes before production begins. This does not affect your 14-day right of withdrawal.
